Ah, Thanksgiving. It’s a celebration that always brings to mind family gatherings, friendly games of touch football and roasted turkey with all the fixings.

There’s also that fuzzy history involving European colonists and Native Americans.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, the NIU Newsroom decided to get the scoop on the holiday’s history from Presidential Research Professor Aaron Fogleman, who specializes in the study of early America.
