Alicia Schatteman
Alicia Schatteman understands nonprofit organizations. With more than a decade of experience working in the nonprofit and public sectors in Canada and the U.S., she now teaches, consults, and conducts research in the areas of nonprofit strategic planning, financial management, and technology. Schatteman serves as an associate professor of nonprofit management in the Department of Public Administration and the Center for NGO Leadership and Development in the School of Public and Global Affairs at Northern Illinois University. She is a respected speaker, educator and researcher

In 2014, she was named the NIU’s MPA Professor of the Year. She received her doctorate degree from the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University-Newark and a master’s degree in communications management from Syracuse University.
