Just how awesome are NIU Study Abroad programs?

Well, check out the accompanying photos and video captured by NIU sociology major Brandon Woodhouse while he studied art and music abroad last summer in Bali, Indonesia, often cited as one of the world’s most beautiful islands.

That program, Experiencing the Arts in Bali, is directed by NIU professor Jui-Ching Wang in the School of Music and Shei-Chau Wang in the School of Art and Design. It will be offered again during the 2016-17 winter break and is one of hundreds of study abroad opportunities offered through NIU and its co-sponsors.

Students can learn more about educational opportunities across the globe during the upcoming Spring Study Abroad Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at the Glass Gallery in the Holmes Student Center.

Study abroad representatives will be available to answer questions on any program. Students also will have the chance to visit information tables and talk to professors leading about 20 upcoming faculty-directed programs, including NIU at Oxford, history and culture programs in Japan and Spanish-language programs in Argentina and Spain.
