Speak Your Mind: NIU experts weigh in on Asia trade deal

May 21, 2015

The hotly debated Trans-Pacific Partnership, if finalized, would be the largest free trade agreement in history. While high on President Obama’s priority list, members of his own party have opposed the broad trade pact.

NIU faculty experts have differing views on the topic as well.

The accompanying Speak Your Mind video features the opinions of geography professor Ryan James, who teaches a course on the geography of economic activities; business professor Jens Mueller (currently in Cartagena, Colombia), who teaches global business at NIU’s College of Business; and history professor Rosemary Feurer, who teaches courses on labor history and U.S. capitalism.
